The Green Party

The environmental movement in the United States is not interested in the environment. They aren't interested in clean water or clean air or pristine forests or the welfare of animals. They aren't concerned with the plight of the Condor or whether drilling occurs in the Alaskan wilderness. They oppose the drilling but not for the reasons given.

The Green Party isn't green. It's red. Let's talk a bit about the Green Party. Luckily for the country, this party didn't get the 5% of votes needed to qualify for federal funds. In some places, like Boulder, Colorado, they got lots of votes. It never fails to amaze me that the people voting Green live in affluent areas of America.

One of the guiding principles of the Green Party assures us that if by some tragedy they gain power in the future; there will be no affluent areas or affluent people in the U.S. It appears to me that lots of people voted for the Greens based on the surface presentation made by the news media. The networks ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN will report anything the environmental movement says without qualification. There is no debate. The environmentalists say it; the news media repeat it and anyone who disagrees is branded as a right wing fanatic who hates clean air and animals. The Greens are depicted as people who would save our environment from evil corporations and see to equal rights for animals.

I don't think many Green voters looked very closely at what they stand for or what they would do to America if they ever do get into power. Thank goodness, such a possibility is so remote. First, the Greens would force the breakup of all corporations with 10% market share in an industry. No more Fortune 1000. They would nationalize the largest 500 corporations, turning their assets over to the government. This does away with the Dow Jones and everyone's 401k and other retirement investment funds. They would start programs to target all businesses, large and small, for eventual government ownership. This would essentially end business and commerce for the individual. If any businesses survived, the Greens would require they abandon merit as a reason for promotion to management and make it a vote by the workers.

They would end all commercial media, movies, newspapers, radio, television and magazines. I marvel at the media giving Nader more airtime than they give the Libertarians. At least the Libertarians would allow Dan Rather to keep his job. The government would subsidize all media using tax revenue. Since they would have destroyed our economy, I don't know whom they intend to tax. They do say a lot about taxation. They would tax the assets of the rich each year until all wealth disappeared. No more Hollywood elite (people who support the Green Party) because movies couldn't be made for commercial purposes. Only government subsidized publicly owned companies making movies for the benefit of the social order would be allowed.

They would place a ceiling on income creating a maximum dollar amount you could earn. They would abolish the United States Senate and create a single house legislature elected proportionately among the Political Parties.

In other words, they would abolish the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and one-man one vote, in favor of government controls, mandates and subsidies. Freeloaders, "second handers" and parasites would do great under these proposals for a few days. Then the economy would collapse. Please! Don't take my word for it. All you have to do is go to their official website and read their platform. They aren't hiding anything. They are rather proud of all this. Go to the Green Party web page and read the official party platform. That this kind of thinking could breed in America is truly sad.

These are dark hearted people who would gladly see mankind enslaved rather than free. Check out their International Policies. They are more anti-US than China. They would have us unilaterally disarm and surrender our sovereignty to the UN. In case you are a Florida Democrat and can't understand what all this means, the Green Party is an advocate of old Soviet style communism. They would give everyone a government job, destroy the incentive to be productive, cap income, and wipe out the retirement funds of every American who owns stocks, bonds or mutual funds.

They would turn over the Federal Reserve to the government, ending its independence. Not that it would matter much. Once all commerce is destroyed, the world would enter a depression making the 30s look like prosperity. You wouldn't really need a central bank at that point. I didn't write this because I am worried they will get to put into practice what they are preaching. I wrote it so that the people who voted for Ralph Nader might realize what kind of serious wackos you would have leading our country. I wrote it so that conservatives could see the kind of people that are out in front of the White House protesting George Bush.

Everyone needs to understand that the environment is being used as a ruse to push the destruction of the American nation. I want you to understand that the people using reasonable arguments about clean water are using your emotions to see to it that your children have a dismal future. It is time to look beneath the banter about Bambi, to look under the leaves in the old growth forests, to gaze between the lines of global warming treaties and opposition to animal medical research.

It is time to look at the real agenda of the environmental movement and laugh them off the stage of public discourse. For those who have read and understood their platform and voted Green anyway, well consider that the Florida Democratic voters may be Einsteins by comparison.
