The Bad Guys

The bad guys are winning. Like it or not our nation and the world continues down a spiraling path into a dark shabby place. The bad guys now control the United Nations. They control the European Union. They control most of the Arab and Moslem world. They are the haters of progress, of economic liberty, of the Jews, of western civilization and of life. They are prevalent in this nation's public education system. They are the majority of faculty in our nation's universities.

They have been winning slowly for years in incremental steps. It is more noticeable since the tragedy of 9/11. That event has emboldened them to step up the pace. They have come out of their dark places and exposed themselves to the light of day. They are without fear of the light because the good people have fled. The good people have lost their will to oppose the bad people. The good have been convinced that compromise and consensus will hold the bad guys at bay at least until we die. Compromise and consensus is the most insidious tool that the bad people have developed. They way it works is this. The good people propose something that is good. The bad people say, ah, but what about us? We should meet somewhere in the middle and reach a solution that all of us can accept. Then the good people agree. What we get is good compromised by bad and in the next round of negotiations, more bad is added to the previous compromise.

It is like taking a glass of clean water and mixing in just a little poison. After the first drop, the water is no longer clean and subsequent compromise adds to the horror of the solution. I hear the bad people demanding that we sacrifice the good in order to avoid offending the bad. I hear the bad people demanding that defining good and bad is judgmental and that good and bad are equal so long as people believe it so. I heard a teenager say that morality was just opinions. I heard a leader of a country say that killing terrorists was terrorism. I heard the parents of a generation tell their children that they should kill themselves and others for a cause that they themselves would not sacrifice themselves for. The bad guys are winning.

A long time ago…apparently beyond the memory of most living people, an evil man with an evil plan, built a machine of death. He used this machine to murder the innocent members of his own society who didn't meet with his approval. He gassed them in showers and he put them in ovens. That man is back again. He lives in the hearts of the bad people. He couches his arguments this time in terms of compassion for all, the anti-ethics of relativism and moral equivalency. He has fashioned a dark alliance among groups who would annihilate one another if any were to gain an upper hand over their co-conspirators. We are witnessing an alliance fashioned by the seamstress of hatred and irrationality.

In this alliance, we have fanatical Islamic terrorists and despots whose world vision is one of strict adherence to their warped dogma. A world where women are forced to be subservient to men. A world where freedom of religion and freedom of speech are punished. A world where self determination is an ugly western idea. A world where education is limited to the teachings of religious zealots, for males only. Also in this alliance is the radical left whose world vision is one of strict adherence to their warped dogma. A world where the individual is forced to be subservient to the collective. A world where freedom of religion and freedom of speech can be punished if it is not acceptable to the group. A world where education has become a breeding ground for hatred of the west and for the engine of capitalism which provides so much for so many.

The radical left supports homosexuality, the fanatics of Islam consider it a crime. The radical left support abortion on demand, the fanatics of Islam consider it a capital offense. The radical left believes that anything goes, the fanatics of Islam would suppress them. The radical left believes that all ideas hold equal merit except those of conservatism. The Islamic fanatics believe that only the teachings of the Koran have merit. The radical left is stuck in the 1960s. The Islamic fanatics are stuck in the 1360s. These two groups placed together would soon be at one another's throats.

They have a common thread. They hate the United States. They hate the Jews. They hate Western Civilization. They hate capitalism. And they call me a hater.
