Allegations resulting in congressional investigations have suggested that the President may be hiding information about what he knew prior to the attacks on the United States. Using my 20/20 hindsight borrowed from the Democratic National Committee, I have determined from careful review of the events immediately following the 9/11 attacks that members of the Senate leadership may have indeed sent anthrax laced letters to themselves. There have been no denials from the Senators in question. This lends credence to my call for an independent investigation of Senators Patrick Leahy and Tom Daschle. The very fact that only these two received anthrax letters among members of the Senate makes all Americans suspicious of how the Democrats got the anthrax in the first place.

The silence in the media on this matter is even more evidence of a wider conspiracy to engender feelings of pity for the Democrats at a time when they were largely being ignored due to the deaths of 3000 "regular" citizens. Further, without adequate and independent study how will we know whether or not the major news outlets including the New York Times and the Washington Post were aware prior to these events that something was perhaps going to happen to someone, somewhere. That they failed to alert the American people is reprehensible.

There are other indicators that Democrats staged the anthrax "scare". The letters, sent to both Senators had handwriting that appeared written by a child or someone of childlike mentality. This is indicative of a Democrat Senate staff member or intern. There needs to be a committee formed to look into the possibility that Senate staffers were involved. Perhaps handwriting samples should be procured and each staff member questioned to seek plausible denial of their alleged involvement. If these theories are not investigated fully, the deaths from the anthrax attacks may go unpunished for political gain.

Another event we should consider taking a hard look at is Democrat involvement and alleged prior knowledge of the bombing of the USS Cole. After all, they must have known of the danger of having an American warship refueling in Yemen. Yemen has long been known as a hotbed of Islamic fundamentalism. There was a Democrat in charge of the military at the time. That Democrat was reported to "loathe" the military and he had control over the investigative agencies that failed to stop the murder of the American sailors. I don't think it could be just a coincidence that the same Senators receiving anthrax letters were also in office at the time of the Cole disaster.

Then we have the bombings of two of our embassies in Africa. Same Commander in Chief who oversaw the Cole incident. The same two Senators in leadership positions in the Democrat Party. Ambassadors in charge of both embassies appointed by a Democrat President. Without a thorough airing of these events, how can the American people be certain that the Democrats associated with these events weren't aware before the fact? How do we know that these so called "leaders" didn't allow our citizens and citizens of Africa to die so they could prop up President Clinton's image at a time when he was diddling interns in the Oval Office?

However much we might hope for closure and national healing, it doesn't stop with these Embassies. We need to go back and look into the bombing of the Federal Courthouse in Oklahoma City. While there is no evidence currently available, investigators should not be frightened from their duty to the American people to look into any involvement in this tragedy by Democrats in the government. After all, by blowing up the Federal building and pinning the crime on a so-called "right wing extremist," the Democrats had everything to gain by exposing the activities of the militia movement.
