Patricia,

Classmates is hard to use, and I have trouble reading the 8.5 font size. I’m having a cataract removed in a couple of weeks. Maybe I’ll be able to read better after that. This is easier to read and a lot easier to write. In case you haven't picked up on it by now, I like to talk.

I worked for Geophysical Service Inc., which founded Texas Instruments. TI eventually swallowed GSI when it expanded into making transistors. When I left China in ’86, I transferred into TI and worked at the Sherman plant until I retired. The old GSI people are an international bunch and like to get together from time to time to see who’s still ambulatory or alive! When TI sold GSI to Halliburton in ’88, it was moved from Dallas to Houston. Most of the old-timers who worked in the office still live down there. Also, the reunions are held at the same time as the Society of Exploration Geophysicists convention, when it’s held in Houston. GSI was a seismograph company—oil exploration. That allowed me to work in, or offshore, in a lot of countries—Canada, England, Scotland, Turkey, Dubai, Peru, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Indonesia & China. Plus, I got to visit a lot more in between.

I got in touch with Doyle Martin a few years ago. He was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam and also in the Gulf of Mexico (oil rigs). He lives near Wagoner, OK. Back in 1968, I was attending a GSI equipment school in Dallas. My instructor’s wife, was Nellie Whitley. I didn’t recognize her until we got to talking. When she said her brother’s name was Cecil Ray, I remembered. I haven’t seen her since. She was married to a guy named Larry Patterson.

Norman Opela's sister gave me his mailing address. I wrote, but he never answered. I heard he was in the penitentiary for some sort of drug charge. I think he's out now.

I sent a message to Lillie Gouker last year, but no reply. Her cousin told me she lives in California. I think Jerry lives there too.

I have a ’58 Pragonian, which I look at occasionally, just so I can remember all the names.

My nieces went to school in Duncanville, TX and knew the Sprayberrys' son, who taught there. He died a few years back.

Philip Marsh and Margaret Burleson are the only two people from Prague I’ve actually seen face to face in the past forty years. She hasn’t answered any of my emails since my wife and I had breakfast with her in Angel Fire, NM, two years ago. She’s kinda strange sometimes, so she may be annoyed with me for something, her politics and mine are at opposite ends of the spectrum. She’s mixed up with the people who are followers of a dead Indian mystic Meher Baba. http://ambdc.net/events.html  If you drive by her old house, you’ll see the sign in the front yard. There are pictures of the old guy all through the house. If you Google Julia Margaret Brigham, you’ll find several things about her, including an interview on You Tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwX25U7633M&feature=related

The only reason I knew Margaret was because we were both in the band and both played French horn. She was sort of a big sister to me--I didn't have any real sisters.

On the next page, I scanned the two 7th grade pages out of the annual and made a list of the class members. Phillip Marsh didn't show up until the 8th grade.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention. I contacted Butch Linville a couple of years back. He lives in Dallas, I think. And also Bobby Holland.

This photo is an example of something I do with computer graphics. She was 64 when I took the picture.
